The Shelton Library System needs the active participation of the community to enable us to keep providing fantastic collections, programs, and services. We accept donations of money (through the Friends of the Shelton Libraries), materials, and time.
Money
We use monetary donations as you direct, and in general for: books, DVDs, audiobooks, CDs, programming, technology, and services. Corporate sponsorships are also available, see our list of corporate partners here. Donations are tax deductible (consult your accountant for details), and receipts are available. Checks can be made out to: The Friends of the Shelton Libraries (FOTSL), or alternatively, The Plumb Memorial Library. We also accept cash.
Materials
We are happy to accept new and gently used materials, such as books, DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, and audiobooks for the Friends of the Shelton Libraries book sales during library hours of operation. Please do not drop off donations when we are closed. Material donations are tax deductible (consult your accountant for details), and receipts are available.
Time
Volunteers help us with materials donations, book sales, library cleaning, programming, and more. Contact Karen Lanigan for Plumb, Shawn Fields for the Branch, or FOTSL for more details.
