Kids Page!!! There’s about a million and a half events going on for kids at both libraries, so hurry up and get down here!

Shelton K-8 Summer Reading List

Kazowie! Kids 5 to 9 come in costume and tune into your super powers – listen to a super hero story, learn a super hero song and design a super disguise! Registration is required and begins Feb. 11. At the Plumb on 2/25 at 1:00PM.

At the Huntington Branch on either February 17th or 18th at 1PM. This is a program for parents and caregivers of pre-readers to 4 and 5 year olds - you are your child's first teacher and you are in the best position to give your baby a great start to becoming a good reader and student. Registration is required and will be available beginning February 1.

Ever try to weave a basket? Geared toward beginners but tweens/teens ages 12 – 18 of all skill levels are invited to attend-materials included; sign up starts Jan. 21. At the Plumb on February fourth at 2:30PM.

Both libraries will be closing at noon on Saturday, January 21st due to the snow.

Play in the snow (if there is any) at the Plumb on January 28th at 1:00PM. ALL  AGES welcome: bring your shovels, trowels, buckets, brooms, scarves and create your very own personality – awards for every snowman including most creative, best dressed, etc. Enjoy hot cocoa throughout the day plus soup and sandwiches will be offered for refueling. Dress warmly. If there is no snow on the ground, we will unfortunately have to cancel. NO rough housing allowed and you must register to attend; beginning Jan. 14-space is limited.
